Federal politicians have a very different and far more generous superannuation scheme compared to the rest of the population. We the taxpayers fund their generous scheme. They can and do access it before they retire unlike everybody else. They do not have to "self fund". They receive a very generous pension for life. And on it goes...
That is why they keep taxing and taxing superannuation because it has absolutely no impact on their entitlements which are completely unique and unattainable to the general population.
How do you stop them meddling in our super?
Put them on the same scheme and rules as everybody else. Make them just receive the standard super guarantee levy amount. Make them contribute their own money to top it up. Make it so if they change the tax rules, it impacts on their super.
Why are they so special that they are on a different super scheme anyway?
